Vladimir Kraynyk is an artist based in Winnipeg, Canada.
He moved to Canada from Ukraine where he developed a successful clandestine career as a cutting edge spray paint artist known across Europe. There, he moved on to refine his artistic practice and got his Fine Art Degree with honors at University of Manitoba. Before he even graduated, he amassed clientele and built a successful art studio, producing works of art all over North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Vladimir’s work is deeply rooted in the history of Art - from the Baroque period to Surrealism, Futurism, and Abstract Expressionism. Paying utmost respect for the traditional technique of oil painting, Vladimir employs it in new and innovative ways that still channel the same kinetic energy and dynamism that manifested in his graffiti beginnings, while adding multi-layered complexity and building on tradition. In a world of mass production, true craftsmanship is rare. Original signature style, technical aspects of painting, and pushing expressiveness of the medium to its limits are of utmost importance to Vladimir, continuously in development to emphasize individual artistic vision, which he believes is one of the main valuable purposes of art in an increasingly dehumanized, depersonalized, generic, and mechanistic world.
Vladimir’s paintings are in numerous private collections across Canada, USA, Bermuda, Hawaii, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Singapore, Japan, and Philippines.
